The Iowa Concussion Consortium and the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa presented the Iowa School Nurse Organization with the Health Care Leadership Award for 2019. This award was given for exceptional leadership in concussion treatment, response and prevention. The School Nurses have been and remain leaders in supporting children, families, educators, and athletic staff in understanding and navigating optimal recovery following concussion. The Iowa Concussion Consortium and the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa recognize the deep commitment and leadership that School Nurses bring to our communities.
