  • Sharon Guthrie named Fellow for NASN

    The National Association of School Nurses honors school nurses who have made extraordinary, unique, and enduring contributions to school nursing and the National Association of School Nurses with recognition in the National Academy of School Nursing Fellows (FNASN).

     

    Sharon Guthrie, PhD, ARNP, CPNP, NCSN, RN-BC has been bestowed this honor by the National Academy of School Nursing. She will be inducted during a ceremony held on June 28th at the National Association of School Nurses Annual Conference in Chicago.

     

    This is the most prestigious recognition that members can receive from the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). It is a symbol of superior achievement in the school nursing profession and exceptional contributions to NASN and the profession of school nursing. The depth and breadth of the Fellow’s imprint on the field is extraordinary; their contributions have had significant and enduring impact, and their exemplary leadership qualities and achievements are recognized by many. The Fellow of the National Academy of School Nursing demonstrates profound excellence and prominent contributions to the field of school nursing in a manner that has far reaching effects on the practice.

  • ISNO School Nurse of the Year 2024

    Wendy Donald, BSN, RN, NCSN has been chosen as the Iowa School Nurse Organization School Nurse of the Year 2024! Wendy has been a school nurse for over 25 years and has spent the last seven years as a nurse for the Muscatine School District. Wendy will be honored at the Iowa School Nurse Organization Conference in Newton April 18-19th. She will also be honored at the National Association of School Nurses Conference in Chicago this summer. Congratulations Wendy!
